Lasecsorb-Oil-Klean Absorbents Product Information
Product Profile
Lasecsorb-Oil-Klean absorbents are made of wood fibers, which have been individually treated to give them a non-water wetting property and at the same time produce a strong affinity for oil and other non-popular liquids. Oil-Klean absorbents can be made from recycled wood fibers, such as boxboard, newsprint and rejected insulation board. These absorbents are effective for all hydrocarbon liquids including: crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, solvents and lubricants. Oils are absorbed into the wood fibers through capillary action and because of this, will not leach. Oil-Klean absorbents are designed to be used in both fresh and salt waters and therefore are very flexible no matter where an oil spill may occur. Lasecsorb products can come in the form of booms, pillows, mats, or loose particulate.
Lasecsorb-Oil-Klean Bilge Booms are made from recycled "wood fiber" products and are specially treated to absorb oils while rejecting water. This provides an excellent and effective means to remove waste oils from the bilges of fishing boats or other marine craft before they can be pumped back into the water.
This product offers the following unique features:
Non-toxic to marine life Incinerable to less than 2% Ash Residue May be deposited in Landfill sites (as per government regulations) Water resistant Long term flotation Indefinite shelf life Absorbs on contact with no leaching Lasec Enterprises Limited is the Sole Distributor of this product worldwide
